Happy belated fourth of July!!

Hope everyone had a good fourth of July, I had a nice little vacation, and a nice little sunburn too, oh well, it was worth it...

Moving on, the third Iraqi serviceman from my county has now been killed in Iraq...if this is going to go on for 5 to 10 years, this is going to be awful...at what point does the loss of life outweigh whatever the supposed benefits are, I just don't know...

Tongiht the report came out that the Niger uranium comment in the State of the Union speech was a mistake...

I wish the Democrats could for once be like the Republicans...and stand up and hold the administration accountable, as much as I dislike the Republican agenda lately, they at least had the guts to be the OPPOSITION!!

So it goes, and goes...

As a final note, I cried to hear that the Iranian twins died, they were so brave...I only wish their dream had come true...peace...

"Bring them on"

''There are some who feel like that conditions are such that they can attack us there,'' Bush told reporters at the White House. ''My answer is bring them on. We have the force necessary to deal with the situation.''

I wasn't thrilled about this quote by the President, if I am called unpatriotic for not supporting a pre-emptive, unnecessary war that killed thousands of people, then the president should be held accountable for daring the Iraqi's to attack our troops...if you think that protesting a war lowers moral, then this is beyond compare!!

I called my senators and representatives, and they were all very resceptive to what I had to say, which was nice...

I attended the Dean meetup today, this was my third, they passed out an article about his speech on June23, and the people there went a bit nutty cause it wasn't 100% positive...I'm kinda like, look, the Meet the Press interview was bad, you can't overlook something like that, you have to deal with it...

Whatever, so the plan is to write to the people in Iowa and Dean and tell them why they should vote for him, I've never been involved in a political campaign before, and I have to say that I'm very impressed by the level of organization that the campaign is showing at the grassroots level, from what I understand, this isn't typical, I'm learning a lot...

I think right now, I'll go with Dean unless Wesley Clark gets in the race, his resume is so impressive, I might shift if he comes in...

The other thing that I've been learning about this week is the situation in Liberia, I'd never heard about it before a friend told me about it a few days ago, and now it's all over the news, go figure!!

He seems to think that sending in a few hundred troops would work, but I don't know how...the military is already spread so thin...anyways...this mess in Iraq is making me so sad, it's nice to have candidates to look forward to over the coming 17 months, so that I can work towards the (better) future of the country instead of dealing solely on the present (which I don't see as that great right now)...

Off to bed, good night!
